Highlights of the Week: Nov. 14-20

Dear Families,

Not too much to read today - we have come off of a short week, and we have a bit of a lull before all the holiday events come at us! It has been a difficult couple of weeks with many children absent - however, we appreciate you keeping them home when they are ill. Hopefully, this latest bug will be behind us quickly and we will be a full school

THANK YOU

  • to the Grade 4/5 class, led by Mr. Seiler (assisted by Mrs. Tyzio and Mr. Turenne), for the beautiful Remembrance Day assembly last Thursday. It was a very moving event, and the students did so well to help us understand more about this day.

INFORMATION:

  • Food Drive Need of the Week: coffee and tea

  • St. Mary's BIG RAFFLE

We are excited to announce we are embarking on a new fundraising effort- and a little friendly competition with the Parish, to try and raise $20,000 for our school with our BIG RAFFLE fundraiser!

What is the BIG RAFFLE? It’s super easy and simple – we have 1000 raffle tickets for sale in total and cash prizes to be won, with a fun “Bash before Ash (Wednesday)” event at the end to draw the winning tickets.

Here’s where the friendly competition comes in- as a school community, we have 100 books of raffle tickets (5 tickets at $20 each per book) that we need to sell by the end of January in an effort to raise $10,000 for the school! Father Wilfred also has 100 books to sell at the parish to help us double our money and bring in $20,000! He already has a head start, but we’re hoping to sell out our books before he does!

If every family takes one book of tickets (to either keep for themselves or sell to friends and family) we can easily sell out our books!

To get your tickets, either stop by the school office, or get them below!
