Highlights of the Week: June 5 - 11

THANK YOU

  • to those were able to attend this morning's school-led Mass, especially the lectors and choir.  When Fr. Gio had the children gathered in the sanctuary, it was great to see St. Mary's uniforms there!  This was our last school-led Mass for the year - so thank you to anyone who was able to attend any Mass this year!  Parishioners do love hearing the choir and lectors and seeing our families there.

INFORMATION

  • The brown envelopes went out last week. You DO NOT need to return it as it was the last one of the year.

  • The St. James Track Meet on Monday will be the last track meet for Grade 6 & 7 students. Practices moving forward will only be for grade 3-5 track students.

REMINDERS

  • with warmer weather here, hats and water bottles are always a good thing for students to have at school.

  • Yearbook order forms went home in the brown envelope.  Please return ASAP - there is a limited number of yearbooks available to purchase.  Many thanks to Fatima and RJ Layno for the time and effort spent in putting the yearbook together!

MONDAY

  • St. James Track Meet at Rotary Stadium - students have already been notified if they are attending.  Miss Gillespie has sent a reminder to those parents who have not sent in permission slips - your child cannot attend unless we have that signed form.

    • NOTE:  students are to be dropped off at 7:45 a.m.; the bus will leave promptly at 8:00!

TUESDAY

  • Track and Field practice, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Grades 3 - 5)

    • So as to protect the health, healing, and well-being of our student athletes, we ask parents/guardians of injured students and those recovering from illnesses, to inform the coaches of your child's condition. As staff are committed to coaching at practices and meets, it is not possible to offer supervision for student athletes who are not participating.  Therefore, we require that students with injuries or those recovering from illness refrain from practices and meets until they regain full health.
