Highlights of the Week: April 19 - 24

Happy Easter - Christ is Risen, Alleluia!

It was wonderful to see so many school families at the liturgies I attended this weekend. Attendance at Mass speaks volumes about the commitment that our families have to educating their children in the faith, and it is very heartening to see how seriously our families take that responsibility.

THANK YOU

  • to those who participated in our SinAmen Bun fundraiser, either by purchasing or helping out. We raised $210.

  • to our staff members who put a great deal of effort into providing spiritual activities for our Holy Thursday morning retreat

  • to Mrs. Olivares, Mr. Turenne and the Grade 6 class for their presentation of the Stations of the Cross. You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/embed/izZWcGYjqjM

  • At our last school Mass, Father Guy told the children to ask their parents to review each Wednesday's Mass readings with them on Tuesday nights, so the children are prepared to listen to and respond to the readings at Mass. He strongly emphasized that this is the responsibility of parents, not teachers (although teachers often do go over scripture in class). The Canadian Mass readings can be found here.
