Weekly Highlights: Apr 22-28
These highlights are coming to you a little later than usual, as I had quite a bit of family time this weekend. I hope that all of you also spent time doing what you love and/or with the people you love!
THANK YOU
to those who helped Mr. Bissiger move the risers from the gym - it's so good to have that space free again!
to all of the students who participated in our school Spelling Bee. CONGRATULATIONS to Levi Choboter, Grade 5, for first place. Levi will represent St. Mary's at the CISVA Bee on Tuesday, May 30th. Thank you also to Mrs. Prost for organizing, other staff members for helping with set-up and running the bee, and family and friends who came to watch.
INFORMATION
Our 4th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 25th. There is still plenty of room for teams to sign up. If you don't have a team of 4 you can still sign up and play with others who aren't registered with a full team.
REMINDERS
Tickets are on sale for the Ladies' Spring Salad Evening - get yours before they sell out!
Student-Led Conferences will be held in a DROP-IN format this year, both Thursday evening and Friday morning. This is a great chance to come and get a good look at what your child has been doing at school this year, and is one of the 5 mandated opportunities for Communicating Student Learning. We encourage every family to try to drop in with your children during one of the sessions.
This is not a chance for a 1:1 sit-down with the teacher, but a time for your child to show you what he or she has done.
Other families may be present in the classroom when you are there.
Please note that we will be "blinking the lights" promptly at 8:00, as our teachers will have had a very full day on Thursday!
