4.0 MONTE CARLO

  • $9,000 revenue vs. $11,000 last year

  • Ticket price was up to $30; in hindsight they should have been kept to $25 – reduced revenue was mostly due to loss of ticket sale

  • 46 comp tickets; 8 free tickets to the parish

  • Food was great; event was really well run

  • Not enough volunteers to clean up after the event; need more follow-up to ensure enough volunteers sign up

  • Some of the décor was hard to put up and take down

  • CWL ladies were great to help us manage the kitchen

5.0 WALKATHON

  • just over $17,000 was raised; expenses still coming in, so we don’t’ have net revenu

6.0 SPRING SALAD

  • Good evening, well organized; speaker delivered a strong message

7.0 NOVEMBERFEST

  • Date to be confirmed either November 9th or November 23rd.

  • Need to give the Band the final date

  • Will take place in the gym for one more year, to ensure we work out all the organizational kinks

8.0 2019/2020 EVENT DATES

  • Christmas breakfast with Santa – Giorgia to lead the team

  • Trivia Night, January 18th – need to talk to Martin G

  • Montecarlo – February 22nd

  • Spring Salad – April 18th

  • Walkathon – May 15th

  • Family dance party – something to consider in the future, not this upcoming year

  • Family Feud Night, – Sara K’s idea but she can’t run the event. Andrea will approach her again, but if she is not ready to take this on, we will scratch it.

  • Carnival night as part of Welcome Back BBQ: too hard to organize over the summer; let’s do it at the end of the school year in collaboration with the Parish, KoC and CWL

9.0 OTHER

  • Uniform swap or 2nd hand sales:

    • will go in parents survey to gauge interest.

    • Will ask someone to manage inventory and sales.

  • We should order some branded St. Mary’s clothing for adults, like PEC did a few years back: good advertising for the school at events, etc.

  • Can we get more use out of Walkathon sponsored t-shirts: can they be allowed as part of the uniform in the month of May?

10.0 CLOSING PRAYER
