Highlights of the Week: Nov. 29 - Dec. 5
Happy First Sunday of Advent!
THANK YOU
to all who brought donations on Friday for flood relief - we raised over $200! This has been given to the parish to help with the migrant workers campaign.
to the students who helped sell Advent candles after the Masses this weekend, as well as the Grade 6/7 classes with Mrs. Olivares and Mrs. Choboter for making the candles
to the parents who cut branches and assembled Advent wreaths for the school - we will be having our Advent assembly (led by Grade 7, under the direction of Mrs. Choboter and Miss Gillespie) tomorrow
INFORMATION:
Repeat from last week: Some people for FISA (Federation of Independent Schools Associations) met with the ministries of Transportation and Education today. We have been asked to encourage you to "show care for [your] fellow citizens by limiting [your] use of fuel". Please consider carpooling where possible; if your children are normally on the bus, but you sometimes drive them, this would be a good time to stick to the bus.
We will carefully monitor the weather and roads situation and keep you informed of any effect on school closures as quickly as possible. Stay safe!
Some games against other schools were originally scheduled for this week. Please watch for emails canceling or confirming those games.
