Avery and Amber Roberts

A for Athletes R for rewarding teams everywhere!

Avery and Amber have played every sport St. Mary’s has. Not only do they excel at sports they have worked hard at being good Catholics. They were baptized this year at Saint Mary’s church, with Father Wilfred baptizing them.

When they moved over to St. Mary’s they were scared but soon blossomed into the young people they are today, with the help of the teachers, coaches, principal, admin staff, and priests. The saying is 'it takes a village to raise a child' and with twins it is double true.

Avery and Amber also embrace their First Nations culture and have both completed a ceremony to receive their cultural names. They worked hard on making give aways.

These children are fast learners when taught new skills. They were taught by their friend at school how to finger weave and they made a whole bunch of headbands.

They are also actors and have done some shows for Hollywood movies and TV commercials.

They play soccer for Seabird Island U10 they have come in 2nd and 3rd in two tournaments. Amber has won Allstar twice now and Avery won last week. To receive an all star, other teams have to put your name forward. To win out of the 100’s of children playing is a huge accomplishment.  Watch out for these two. Future Looks Bright.
