Highlights of the Week: Mar 6 - 11

I can hardly believe this is our last week before Spring Break!  I will send a  Weekly Highlights email on Sunday, March 27th, but otherwise you will not be hearing much from me in the weeks ahead.  I hope that the break is a restful, relaxing one for all of our students and their families, and our staff.

THANK YOU

  • to the students who participated in today's school-led Mass, and their families for bringing them.  What a great turn-out we had for choir this week!  It was lovely to see so many other students in the congregation today.

  • many thanks, in advance, go to all who have worked so hard on our musical presentation, A Not So Terrible Parable.  Students and staff members have been dedicated to almost-daily practices, as well as all of the behind-the-scenes activities that go toward making an event like this a success.  From the snippets I've heard, and glimpses I've seen, I know you are going to love this show!  Special thanks to Mrs. Choboter for musical direction, and Mrs. Olivares and Mrs. Weberg for acting direction and overall production.  Thank you also to parents for bringing your children to the school for rehearsals, and this Wednesday for performances, and to all staff members for pitching in as needed.

INFORMATION

  • Musical Production procedures:

    • as was in the newsletter, we ask that the children come to school in their class costumes on both Tuesday (dress rehearsal) and Wednesday (performance)

    • on Wednesday evening, please bring your child to the school at 6:30.  Following the musical, children will be taken back to the school and you can collect them there

  • Our Lost and Found area is starting to overflow again!  We will ask classes to walk by this week, but also invite parents to take a look, especially when you bring/pick-up your children on Wednesday, so that we might have it all cleaned out before Spring Break.

REMINDERS

  • There are still tickets available for the musical.  St. Mary's students do NOT require a ticket!

  • It is our hope that all students will be at the musical on Wednesday evening - it does help if you let their teacher know ahead of time if they cannot be there.

  • Please return brown envelopes if you haven't already done so

  • Re-registration packages are due by this Friday, March 10th.  Have it in by then to pay the early-bird registration fee of $25! ($50 after March 10th)

    • If your child will not be returning to St. Mary's next year, and you have not already let us know that, please do inform the office so that we are not sending you reminders to register!
