Highlights of the Week: Jan. 24 - 30
THANK YOU
to everyone for being so gracious and flexible with all the changes (dates, weather closures, hot lunch) that have hit us this month. We really appreciate the flexibility, smiles and kindness of our parent community!
to our students for making a wonderful impression on a new substitute Education Assistant. After spending a few days with us last week, she made a point of telling me how impressed she was with the students' behaviour during Mass and how many kindnesses she witnessed among the children. Well done!
to the parents who contact the office when your child is sick. It is so important that we are recording the number of absences due to illness, so thank you for supplying this information (as stated before, no need to disclose the nature of the illness, and our daily report does not include names).
INFORMATION:
Some new guidance has come out for Daily Health Checks. Please read the new Daily Health Check Document carefully (click here to read). It also outlines the procedure that staff and students should follow if they are symptomatic for COVID-19 (testing and self-isolation protocols have been updated). Please continue to perform a daily health check for your child.
Our uniform contract with Hallmark Promotions ends in June. They have advised us that stocks of some items are getting low (or have run out completely) and they will not be replacing these items. If you are ordering new uniform pieces, please be aware that you may not be able to get what you are looking for. However, we still have many used uniform items for sale.
This week, raffle tickets for our Pub Night (Saturday, January 29th) will be on sale outside the school from 2:30 - 3:00.
Student progress reports will be sent home on Friday, January 28th.
REMINDERS:
brown envelopes will be going out next week - please send yours back if you haven't already!
please ensure your children dress for the weather - boots, jackets, gloves are always great! Snow pants and/or rain pants can be a real bonus.
