Ideally we need to increase the number of followers we have on our social media platforms as this will 'carry more weight' when we highlight the advantages we can offer when promoting the donating company in return.

WINTER !!!!!  Listen to 98.3 FM for school closures.
In the event of a closure, school families will be notified via email, the Parent Facebook page, school App and school website.
May seems long way off, but planning is already underway for our 16th annual “Evening in Monte Carlo” fundraiser.  Not only is it our 2nd biggest fundraiser of the year, but one of the most fun! More details will be sent home in the February newsletter.
Theme baskets are created for our silent auction and are always a big hit.  Rather than have people send things in for the baskets, we found the easiest way is to
collect $10 from each family and we send a couple of people out to do the shopping for the baskets.  Note:  this is $10 per family,  not per child.

Our LIVE AUCTION is always a lot of fun.  We need to come up with some “big ticket” items for the auction and invite any ideas /leads you may have.

Some Ideas…...
  • Love to cook?  We would like to create an auction item called “Meals for a Busy-Mom-on-the-go”.  This auction item will consist of a dozen, frozen, home-made meals (enough to feed a family of 4).  If you could make ONE dish for this auction item, we’d love to hear from you!
  • Prefer to bake?  We could offer an auction item for healthy school snacks and include a months worth of home made school treats? If you could contribute some baked items towards this, please let us know.
  • Prepare a will free of charge?  Prepare a resume?   Do some housecleaning?   Offer babysitting?
  • Are you a painter, carpenter, plumber or electrician?  We could create a  “Handyman basket” of various services.
  • Do you have a vacation home you could donate for a weekend?
  • Can you offer a boat ride / fishing trip?
  • Would you like to host an evening dinner in your home?  It could be a theme, such as a traditional English roast dinner, a Mexican taco night, a Filipino feast, German night etc...
Looking forward to hearing your ideas!
Email any suggestions to; ksgouraditis@saintmarysschool.ca
