Weekly Highlights: Oct. 16 - 22

With Thanksgiving over, our thoughts turn toward October as the month of the Holy Rosary.  It was a blessing to gather as a school community on Friday to pray the Rosary together, and I encourage all families to pray this devotion this month.

THANK YOU

  • to Miss Gillespie and her helpers for leading our Living Rosary service on Friday.  I was especially impressed with how many of our students recited the Apostle's Creed by heart - a testimony to teaching of prayers at school and at home!

  • to Mrs. Olivares for setting up a lovely display for our Food Drive contributions.  Items can be left on the table in front of the statue of Mary.

  • St. Mary's Parish CWL is sponsoring a KAIROS BLANKET EXERCISE WORKSHOP on Saturday, October 28, at St. Mary’s Gym, 1:30-4pm. Everyone participates as they step onto blankets that represent Canada and into the roles of First Nations, Inuit and MétisPeoples.

    • Cost $10, please submit payment by Sunday, Oct 22nd. To register, place your payment ($10) in an envelope marked “Blanket Exercise Workshop” with your name and phone number and place the envelope in the collection basket at Mass.
