Weekly Highlights: Apr 29 - May 5

"April showers bring May flowers" goes the old saying, and if there's any truth to that then we should have a blossoming May!  What a wet spring it's been so far.  Please remember that unless the rain is absolutely torrential, we will be outside for breaks, so on cloudy/rainy days it's important that your children come to school with good outside footwear and jackets!

THANK YOU

  • to all who attended the Student-Led Conferences on Thursday and Friday.  It was such a pleasure for me to see so many families come through the school and to get a chance to talk to people I don't often see!

  • to all who helped set up, hosted tables, helped clean up or attended the Spring Salad Evening.  We are hopeful that this can again be an annual event!

INFORMATION

  • At our school Mass on Wednesday, May 1st, we will end with the Crowning of Mary.  All children are invited to bring a flower or two (garden flowers are lovely!) to bring up in procession.  We will have flowers available for those who cannot bring any.

  • There is no school-led Mass on May 5th, due to First Communion.  We may do a school-led Mass on Sunday, May 12th.

  • Please look below the "Looking Ahead" section for information that the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre has asked us to pass on to families about special packages they offer.

REMINDERS

  • We are in need of a couple more volunteers for hot lunch for May. To sign up please go to https://signup.com/Group/9569924495136860111/

  • Our 4th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 25th.  There is still plenty of room for teams to sign up.  If you don't have a team of 4 you can still sign up and play with others who aren't registered with a full team.

  • Many of you took a look at the Lost and Found during conference time.  If you didn't get a chance to do so, please pop in and take a look when you're able.  There are many unlabeled school sweaters, as well as numerous jackets and hoodies.
