Dear St. Mary's School Families,

We have a busy week ahead as we approach the Christmas break! Here’s a look at the events happening from December 16 to December 20:

Monday, December 16

• Auditions for the School Musical: Starting at 7:30 am.  Intermediate students, please check the sign-up sheet for your assigned time. Be prepared to sing Happy Birthday or another song for your audition.

• Advent Prayer Service: Join us at 7:00 pm in the church for our special Advent Prayer Service. Please note: Students should be in their classrooms by 6:30 pm (no later than 6:45 pm). The school will not be open before 6:30 pm, so please ensure your children are not left unattended. All students should come dressed in their best attire, except for the Kindergarten/Grade 1 class, who will wear costumes (Ms. Foster will send details to her class).

Tuesday, December 17

• Auditions for the School Musical Continue

• Grade 7 Shopping for Christmas Hampers

Wednesday, December 18

• Mass for Grades 2 to 7 - Please join us!

• Hot Lunch – Subway

• Classes Visit Valleyhaven: Our students will visit Valleyhaven to sing for the residents.

Thursday, December 19

• Brown Envelopes: These will go home with students. A permission slip for the SCOPA performance was included for intermediate students (One filled out per child please). Please keep an eye out for them and return ASAP!

• Gr. 6 and 7 Visit Valleyhaven - Sharing the Christmas spirit with others

• Preschool Christmas Concert: Join us at 6:00 pm for the Preschool concert.

Friday, December 20

• Red and Green Colour Day: Wear your festive red and green attire!

• Sing-Along: The Grade 7 class will lead us in a Christmas sing-along at 11:15 am.

• Noon Dismissal: School will be dismissed early at noon.

Reminders:

• Lost and Found: Kindly check the lost and found for any items your child may have left behind. All unclaimed items will be donated after December 20.

Attention Grade 7 Parents/Guardians,

This is a friendly reminder from St. John Brebeuf High School to submit your Grade 8 applications. Acceptance letters will be sent out starting January 13. To ensure your child’s spot for September 2025, please complete and submit the application as soon as possible.

Winter Break

• School will be closed from December 21 to January 5. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday, January 6!
