PFG Meeting Minutes: February 2018

February 5, 2018

Opening Prayer

Approval of Last Months Minutes:  Pat approves, Alison seconds

Approval of Agenda: Alison approves, Amanda seconds

In Attendance: Megan Peterson, Pat Symes, Amanda Munro, Alison ten Bohmer, Giorgia Quadrelli, Katy Sgouraditis, Tara Mageau

Old Business:  

4.1 -  Pub Night – Prizes include 1 Night Stay in Harrison, White Cap Tickets, Booze Basket, Little Beetle Bistro, Vancouver Stealth.  Twoonie Toss Games.  No 50/50.  It was decided that instead of a silent auction we would have a “raffle board” and sell each box for $10 each.  100 boxes to be sold. 

4.2 – 70th Celebration – Changing colors to gold so we can reuse decorations for Monte Carlo night.  If we need to look at any party rentals, Megan suggested Party Tree Rentals.  Local company.  

4.3 –  Monte Carlo – Total payment for our tables is $3600.  So far we have $2500 sponsored.  Lots of prizes starting to roll in.  Decided that we will change the layout of gym and entrance way. 

4.4 – Oktoberfest -  www.sbahnmusic.com  Band not booked yet.  Waiting to hear back.  Hoping to book either November 3rd or November 10th.

New Business

5.1 – Plant NiteProposal to have “Plant Nite” fundraiser at our school.  Similar to a Paint Nite.  

Require a $100 deposit.  35 ticket MINIMUM must be met 2 WEEKS before event date or deposit lost.  Tickets sold for $60.  School would get $15 from that.

It was decided that this would not be a good event for us.  Ticket prices expensive for what we get out of it, and will lose our deposit if we cannot get enough patrons.  From our past events, we have that majority buy tickets in the last week leading up to events so there is no guarantee that we will fill all spots in the needed time frame.
