Highlights of the Week: Nov. 15-21

THANK YOU

  • to Mr. Seiler and the Grade 4/5 class for an amazing Remembrance Day Prayer Service last Wednesday. The readings and videos were very moving. Thank you also to Mrs. Choboter and the school choir, and to other staff members who helped prepare the event. The students were so reverent and respectful during this event!

  • to the parents who distributed the Mom's Pantry orders - so efficient!

  • to all who donated to the Royal Canadian Legion poppy campaign

INFORMATION:

  • You are still welcome to submit family pages for Our Book of Souls and we will pray for the repose of the soul of your loved ones during the month of November

REMINDERS:

  • Meeting at 2:00 today for families of children who take the bus. The meeting will be held in the gym.

  • FOOD DRIVE NEED OF THE WEEK: Coffee/Tea

  • If you are coming into the school, please remember to wear a mask!


TUESDAY:

  • Hot Lunch: Pizza Hut

  • Grade 7 Curling Field Trip - students may wear colour clothes, and should dress in layers (along with gloves, hats, etc. - it gets cold out there on the ice! Students also need to bring a CLEAN pair of shoes (i.e., in addition to the shoes they wear to walk over to the curling rink)

  • Grade 4/5 Girls Volleyball Practice, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

WEDNESDAY:

  • Mass for Grades 2 - 7. Please wear white shirts and school sweaters.

  • Grade 4/5 Boys Volleyball Practice, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m.

  • Parent Fundraising Group Meeting via Zoom, 6:30 p.m. Attendance and participation at the meeting does count as a Parent Participation Hour. Come out and share some ideas with us!

THURSDAY:

  • Field Trip to Science World , for Grades 5 - 7. Students should be in full, neat, clean uniform, including school sweater or Grade 7 hoodie. Please arrive at the school by 7:20 am as the bus is leaving promptly at 7:30.

FRIDAY:

  • Staff to attend CISVA Day of Study on Truth and Reconciliation - NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS

SUNDAY:

  • First Communion Students to attend 9:30 Mass. Please bring your children to sit in the front pews of the church, with families seated behind (we will have pews reserved for children and families)
