Highlights of the Week: May 9 - 15
A very happy Mother's Day to all moms and all mother-figures! May we all follow the example of our Blessed Mother and lead each other closer to Jesus.
THANK YOU
to those who are washing and ironing the gowns for First Holy Communion
INFORMATION:
We have an international (Korean) student coming to St. Mary's next year, and EduPro, the organization sponsoring him, is looking for a homestay family. Please contact the office for more information. If multiple families are interested in being homestay families, EduPro might be able to bring more students to St. Mary's.
Starting this week, there will be a weekly Wednesday draw for prizes for all those who have collected Walkathon pledges that week. Students should bring their pledge sheets to school, where a running total of pledges will be kept. Sheets will be returned to the student once the pledges are recorded, so they may continue to get pledges. For families, we will enter all of your children's names in the draw. Please be sure your pledge sheet is handed in on Wednesday morning.
We need volunteers to help out with our upcoming Golf Tournament, (if you have already completed your hours, but would like to help it would be appreciated!) We are looking for 2 volunteers per mass to sell tickets for the Prize Board and to sign up golf teams. To sign up, please go to https://signup.com/go/aKMPVAR.
Also, we need volunteers for the day of the tournament, May 28th. To sign up for the morning or the afternoon shift on this day, please go to https://signup.com/go/HXydeYr.
We will be having one of the parish choirs singing for First Holy Communion, but they would welcome having students sing with them. If your child is interested in singing, please contact Mrs. Sallos (jsallos@saintmarysschool.ca). Practice would be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15th, for the 2:00 p.m. Mass.
