Highlights of the Week: May 2 - 8

Happy First of May!

THANK YOU

  • to all who attended our school-led Sunday Mass this morning. Special thanks to the choir and the lectors and the staff members who helped prepare them. We appreciate having a school presence at this Mass each month, as it helps maintain a connection with the parish that supports us so regularly.

INFORMATION:

  • The St. James Track Meet was originally scheduled for May 19th but was moved to Wednesday, May 25th. All of our current school calendars are correct.

  • The newsletter that was emailed on Friday has LOTS of information about upcoming events - please make sure to read it carefully. Read the May newsletter here.

  • Raffle Prize Board ticket sales will go on sale starting tomorrow (Monday). For $10/square you have a chance to win 1 of 4 great prizes, with two boards to choose from.(maximum 5 tickets per family, per board can be purchased). Please contact the office to purchase tickets. If any squares remain by next weekend, we will be selling squares after Sunday Masses.

REMINDERS:

  • Deadline to order hot lunch for June is Monday, May 2nd.

  • Brown envelopes went home on Friday with newsletter highlights and calendar, sign-up sheets for Student-Led Conferences, and Walkathon pledge forms. Please be sure to return the envelope right away so we can use them again in June!

MONDAY:

  • Deadline to order hot lunch for June.

  • Grade 3/4 Field Trip to Borden Creek

    • Remember: pack a picnic-friendly lunch. Please ensure your child is equipped with proper clothing (an extra set of clothing might be precautionary). Children should wear bright clothing, layers for warmth, and a hat. Waterproof boots are essential because we will be standing in the creek. Sunscreen and water bottles are always a good idea for any type of weather.

TUESDAY:

  • Hot Lunch: Chopped Leaf

  • Track and Field Practice to 4:00 p.m. Sorry - no unsupervised younger siblings permitted at practice; also, playground is reserved for After School Care

WEDNESDAY:

  • Mass,Grades K- 7. Please wear white shirts and sweaters.

  • Practice for Long Distance Runners, to 4:00 p.m.

THURSDAY:

  • Track and Field Practice to 4:00 p.m. Sorry - no unsupervised younger siblings permitted at practice; also, playground is reserved for After School Care
