  • St Mary's Preschool and Elementary School will be hosting the Ready Set Learn program.  This session will be held from 10:45am-11:30am on Friday, January 27th in the kindergarten classroom and is for families (parents, caregivers and children) about to start either preschool for the first time or kindergarten in September 2023. If you are interested in attending, please pre-register by emailing Mrs. Chiappetta at jchiappetta@saintmarysschool.ca by January 23rd

  • Dress for the weather!  Students will go outside for recess and lunch most days, even if there is light rain or cold.  In extreme weather conditions we will keep them inside.  Please make sure that your children come to school with warm/waterproof clothing and footwear, even if it is not raining in the morning - we know how quickly weather can change here!

  • In the event of a school closure due to bad weather, we will make an announcement via email, Facebook group and on our website.

MESSAGE FROM THE PEC

Your PEC will be conducting a review of the parent participation program at our school and we are requesting input. The PEC will be looking into multiple aspects of the program, two of which will include the total commitment of hours required per year as well as if a new tabulation model and associated monetary penalty would be beneficial. The topic will be discussed at the next PEC meeting on January 25th and any changes made would come into effect for the 2023/24 school year.

If you would like to provide input please reach out to our chairperson at pecchair@saintmarysschool.ca
