• to you for reading the very lengthy email that was sent regarding back to school procedures

INFORMATION:

• With the delayed return to school, which was then complicated by bad weather closures, we did not have a chance to inform you about upcoming field trips, and one of them is this Wednesday!

  • As in previous years, our students will be attending a performance by CSOPA (Chilliwack School of Performing Arts). We have checked, and the performances are still going ahead with appropriate COVID protocols in place.

  • Students in Grades K - 5 will attend this Wednesday, January 12th.

  • Students in Grades 6 and 7 will attend next Wednesday, January 19th.

  • A permission slip will be sent home tomorrow. PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN BY TUESDAY. If you do not wish for your child to attend the performance, please contact his/her teacher, and arrangements will be made for students who remain at school.

REMINDERS:

• please ensure your children dress for the weather - boots, jackets, gloves are always great! Snow pants and/or rain pants can be a real bonus.

• to minimize the time the children spend outside together in the morning, please drop your child off as close to 8:40 as possible

• Parking lot in the morning: if you are dropping your children off and then driving away, please just pull up as far forward as you can by the cones, then circle around to exit. No cars should be parked in the centre stalls in the morning, as this interferes with parents dropping off and with the buses pulling in and then needing to park. Parking should be limited to the spaces beside the hedge. Please walk your children to the crosswalk if you are parking, and watch for cars pulling out!

• visits to school should be limited - please try to ensure your child brings lunch each day to alleviate a need to drop things off during the day. If you must come into the school, please remember to wear a mask.

MONDAY:

• RETURN TO SCHOOL for all students. For this day only, please drop your child off right in front of the entrance stairs at the west end of the school

• The parking lot is very icy - please exercise extreme caution when driving or walking

TUESDAY:

• Hot Lunch: Pizza Hut

• Grade 4/5 Girls Volleyball Practice, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. No spectators are permitted. Games may not be happening during this time, but we will continue practices.

• Zoom meeting for Confirmation candidates and their sponsors. Link will be sent by Mrs. Choboter (meeting was originally scheduled for in-person)

WEDNESDAY:

• Mass for Grade 6 and Grade 7. Please wear white shirts and school sweaters.

• Students in Grades K - 5 to attend Sponge Bob, the Musical at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre

• Grade 4/5 Boys Volleyball Practice, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. No spectators are permitted.

THURSDAY:

• Grade 6/7 Boys Basketball Practice, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. No spectators are permitted.
